About Me

Welcome to We All Need Money, your go-to resource for practical personal finance and side hustle tips! I’m Kalule Kasule Hassan, known as Salongo in Ugandan culture—a special title honoring me as a father of twins. At 50, I’ve lived a life full of lessons, from running an IT support business in Cape Town, South Africa, for 23 years to earning my computer science degree at 41 while raising four kids. Through business wins, losses, and family adventures, I’ve learned how to save, gain, and grow money the hard way—and I’m here to share those insights with you.

My Journey

Born in Uganda, I spent 23 years in Cape Town, where I built an IT support business serving clients across industries. At 41, I took a bold step: I went back to school to earn my computer science degree, juggling studies, business, and parenting my four children—19-year-old twin girls, a 13-year-old boy, and a 7-year-old boy—alongside my wife of 24 years. It wasn’t easy. I once lost $5,000 in a business venture, a setback that taught me the value of budgeting, resilience, and smart side hustles. Those lessons, from Cape Town to Uganda, shape every article on this site.

Now based in Uganda, I leverage my technical expertise, entrepreneurial grit, and family-focused mindset to create content that resonates with parents, entrepreneurs, and career changers worldwide, including in South Africa, the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and beyond. Whether it’s testing budgeting apps with my coder’s eye or sharing how I saved for my twins’ education, I’m passionate about helping you achieve financial freedom.
